Beatlemania

Okay, yesterday was my introduction. Now that I have established who I am and my credentials, it's time to get down to business. So without further ado, I present to you, Bubby Mac's very first blog.

Beatlemania is sweeping the country again. The Fab Four just never seem to grow old. I am only two, but my father, who is over fifty years old (poor old fart) remembers the day he saw the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show. They sang the song "All My Loving", but my father tells me that he couldn't even hear the music due to all of the screaming females. They came back the next two weeks and sang "I Saw Her Standing There" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand". And Beatlemania was born. Actually it had already started in England and was now just coming to life in the USA.

Now, almost fifty years later, it is still going strong. There are new box sets of CDs out, selling like pancakes, and what more the popular video game "Rock Band" now has Beatles songs for your friends and family to play along with. I am asking Santa Claus for that one. I can picture my daddy and I rocking out to "Come Together".

Here comes old flattop
He comes grooving up slowly
He got juju eyeball
He one holy roller

I just hope John Lennon approves of all this latest commercial success. I guess Ono had no problem making a few extra bucks. George probably would approve. He was so laid back, not much ever seemed to rattle him. And Paul needed something to get people to talk about something other than his ugly divorce with Heather Mills. And Ringo, he's married to Barbara Bach. He's got it made. What does he care about Beatles songs being in video games? Now if they'd just make their music available for digital download online. Now that's going to be big news when that happens.

While I was doing a little research on the Mop Tops for this blog, I came across this interesting video:

Until tomorrow, this is Bubby Mac signing off with another set of lyrics from those crazy guys from Liverpool:

I am he as you are he as you are me
and we are all together

Goo goo g' joob,

Bubby Mac
